ROAWO x Mavy Savvy Trend Store

One of my favorite word combos? Street Style.

I’m such a sucker for websites that specialize in inexpensive versions of the sweet stuff I see my favorite fashion Instagrammers (word?) wearing. Wether its a badass graphic tee or a black leather skirt, I. Want. It. For. Cheap. I’m on a college budget, so I can’t exactly afford to splurge…. so how in the world am I supposed to buy cool, trendy stuff?

Enter: Mavy Savvy Trend Store.

I was soooo pumped when I discovered this online boutique & became a part of their campaign. They are a new (& quickly growing) online marketplace for girls on a tight little budget. AND now, you can get 20% off their new arrivals. Deals on Deals on Deals.

I’ve rounded up some of my top picks from Mavy Savvy, so shop your little hearts out:

I’m Lurving… + Big News & I Need Your Help!

I'm Lurving... Hi.

So, I’ve decided to switch things up a bit and change the “My Favorite Things” series to “I’m Lurving…” because I lurve the word lurve. Its so.. weird. So.. Me. In fact, I have a lot of changes coming soon to ROAWO & I need your help!! [ I’ll talk about this more in a sec.. ]

Now, onto the previously scheduled post. I have a whole list of some seriously-cool “lurves” for y’all this week. First things first, how intense is this crazy succulent garden^^? I found it when I was in San Francisco, casually sipping tea by the Golden Gate, and I had to document it. Y’all know I love succulents. They’re s’cuuute.

Serendipity Fine Lines Print Serendipity Fine Lines Business Cards Do y’all remember my interview with Sarah of Serendipity Fine Lines?? Welp, I got my custom print in a couple of weeks ago, and I absolutely LURVE, LURVE, LURVE it. How freakin’ badass is this Madonna quote? I mean seriously, I’m digging that idgaf vibe ( because who even has the time and energy to gaf … yeah, idgaf ).

Can y’all tell that I also love the word/term idgaf. I esp like saying idgaf instead of the whole ‘I don’t give a fuck,’ because I think its so hilarious for some reason. What a knee-slapper, right?

Click here to read the interview + find out details on where to buy her stuff, links to her social media sites ( for daily pretties ) & a little discount code. Her biz cards are amaze too… #talent.

TSC Frapp on ROAWO TSC Frapp on ROAWO Another thing I’m lurving is The Skinny Confidential’s Vanilla Frap ( sans the crap! ). Back in the middle school days, I was a frapp-fanatic. I remember waltzing into the mall Starbucks with my clan of girly-gals ( wearing all Abercrombie, sporting some colored Uggs, & obvi carrying my colorful Dooney & Burke handbag.. lolz. ) & ordering some trendy blended beverage… thinking we were all old and mature for drinking coffee. Don’t pretend like you weren’t exactly the same.

Gah, am I relieved those days are long over. I mean, that memory is so embarrassing. AND, the worst part isn’t even my choice of attire… its those damn frappuccinos. They are seriously disgusting.. read up on the real-nast-deal here ( Lauryn from TSC has me convinced ).

BCBG Suede Jacket BCBG Suede Jacket & Flannel Eeeeps, this suede, fringe jacket from BCBG is everything… and more. I am aalllll about texture combo & this jack ( as well as my leather one.. as seen in San Fran post ) is my go-to when I want to layer some texture and make my outfit next-level cool. I’m 99% positive its out of stock, but they sell similar ones here and here.

I layered the Suede + Fringe jacket with a killer flannel button-down & some destroyed skinnies. And, obviously some clunky wedges.. a staple. This is an outfit completely comprised of staples, actually. You need to own every single one of the pieces right now. This is serious.

Kombucha My last lurve of the week is this blood orange HOLY Kombucha tea. Okay, most importantly, HOLY Kombucha is made + bottled in my hometown, Fort Worth, TX.

( PS if you don’t know what Fort Worth is, or you’ve never been, you need to get your shit together… its a seriously cool city with a small-town, friendly feel. Its getting a lot bigger, so go before it becomes too much like Dallas… plz Fort Worth, don’t ever do that… )

HOLY Kombucha’s Mission reads:

For you, HOLY Kombucha strives to brew the freshest kombucha using only organic ingredients and using absolutely nothing artificial to brew the highest quality.
For those in need, HOLY Kombucha has a mission to help save and provide a safe haven to children and women from human trafficking. We want to raise awareness and give help to organizations who strive to END human trafficking throughout the world! This is where we put our 10%!

How insanely cool… You need some HOLY Kombucha in your life. I like to drink kombucha + vodka for a weekend treat OR just by itself ( normal-human style ). This week, it was part of my detox-from-Halloween routine.

Okay, so some news:

Remember when I said I had some new things in the works for ROAWO? Well, one of those things is… drumroll please…… a total rebranding. Yep, as of early 2015, I will be moving ROAWO to a new domain ( obviously I will be giving y’all lots of heads up & I will be annoying y’all with news on the move, new links… yada yada yada) as I make the move out to Los Angeles.

I’m doing this because I no longer feel that the ‘Ramblings of a Wild One’ theme fits with my blogging goals. I’ve absolutely LOVED & worked so hard to make this blog what it is now, and I feel like rebranding is necessary to embody my ultimate vision.

I think y’all will like the new name, look, & overall vibes of the new site, which I’ll be introducing y’all to as of 2015.

I can’t waittttt to show y’all!

In the meantime, have any of you bloggers gone through a rebranding, and want to share some tips with me? I need all the help I can get… its a lot more complicated than it seems!

Even if you aren’t a blogger,

I still need your help! Is there any specific topic that you’ve been wanting to know more about? I mean, anything from health & fitness to fashion & home decor. I’d like to know what my readers want to know about, so I can write about things that y’all are actually interested in, as well a cool things that I find interesting. Comment below with your suggestions… and I will be eternally grateful & ready to help/research. Don’t be shy, k?

Much love xx

Cinch: My New Fav App ( + How I Used It For College Fashion Week! )

Morning Lovelies.

I am still getting back into the swing of things after spending a really dizzzope weekend in San Francisco for College Fashion Week. Re-focussing on studying, eating healthy ( couldn’t pass up that slice of cheesecake at Waterfront this weekend ), & getting back on track with working out is so hard after an action-packed getaway! But, I’m coping ( << poor, poor me ).

Later this week, I’ll be sharing with you the details of my trip to SF ( hotel, restaurants I liked, etc. ), so stay tuned for that bidness!

>>BUT FIRST, I have to tell y’all all about this new app I came across last week: the Cinch App. I was introduced to Cinch via a real cool CFW/HerCampus rep, and I was instantly intrigued. Here’s the deal:

Cinch: The Best App Ever, Basically.

So, you want to go out to eat somewhere with your girlfriends on Friday night and you’re super popular, so you have a bunch of girls to round up and a bunch of restaurant options to choose from. We’ve all been there, and all that means is: 5 million different opinions to sort through to come to a conclusion. Enter, Cinch.

Cinch is a group-polling app that allows your friends to cast their vote on a question ( ex: Where Should We Eat Tonight? ), or comment on the poll to introduce new options. The poll-er (?) creates the poll by entering a question & adding choices to the poll. Then, you send the choices out to your friends’ phones and they answer as necessary. Now, you have the results of the poll right in front of your face, AND you get everyone’s unbiased opinion, as they can’t see what other poll-ees voted for. You can invite people to vote in your fun little poll via Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp, or by using your phone contact list (<< how I did it).

It’s great.

I decided to give Cinch a go, using it to ask my friends:

What Should I Wear to College Fashion Week?

Cinch App: Polling Your Friends….. and it's SO easy!

[ Find Outfits here: One | Two | Three ]

Easypeasy, Lemon-squeezy. Because I’m pretty OCD when it comes to… well… everything, I love the clean set-up of Cinch, and I really love that I can see the results of the poll in an obvious, visually-pleasing way.

Cinch App: My New Favorite!

So no more texting your friends a ton of outfit pictures separately ( ugh, I’m lazy ), and no more assessing opinions via group text ( annoying ). Just create your poll in about 5 seconds & send to your friends… all from an easy-to-access, free app!

To download Cinch, click here.

Want to see what outfit I chose to wear? Ya know ya do! Whats your favorite, life-simplifying app? I’m all about saving time & energy, so I’d love to hear your thoughts! Also, what do you think of Cinch? How are you using this cool AF app? Comments are appreciated!

Later, gals.

Eeeeeek, I’m so excited to show off this outfit!

This weekend, I jetted off to San Francisco for College Fashion Week ( << if you follow me on Instagram, you’ve already seen a million pictures ). Obviously, for an event like that, I had to find the perfect outfit. When I came across this Reclaimed Vintage Co-Ordinate duo from ASOS, I knew I had to have it. How perfect is this 60’s-inspired combo. PLUS, it’s SO comfy it almost hurts.

I wore it with my favorite go-to wooden wedges ( I also love these suede heels with this outfit ), a couple gypsy-inspired necklaces, this cool AF snakeskin clutch, and my must-have bralette ( << because if I can get away with NOT wearing a real bra, I’m going to do it ). For the CFW Fashion Show, I rocked the bronzed-bombshell makeup that I talked about last week and a blowout ( called the Mai Tai ) by the Drybar in Union Square.

I’ll be posting the low-down on my new favorite app (<< helped me choose this little number for CFW) & all the details of my little San Fran getaway this week! Stay Tuned!

Redken Color Rebel at Austin City Limits ( Talk About A Perfect Pair !! )

Redken Color Rebel

Redken Color Rebel Have you ever had one of those days where everything ( I mean, everything ) just goes absolutely wrong? Well, that’s been my life since Sunday… and now its Tuesday and it just needs to STOP.

Yesterday, I was planning on putting this post up, and I woke up all excited about sharing my ACL experience & fun, colored hair with y’all. I went to open my computer… and…. it is completely dead. Like, wont-charge-or-turn-on dead. As a college student (and blogger, obviously), this is my worst nightmare coming to life. So, my poor little computer is being checked out by technicians for the next week.

This morning, so far, I have stepped in dog poop, spilled my green juice all over my kitchen / self, missed a class because my alarm was set for 9 PM, not AM… and I’ve only been awake for like an hour. Luckily, the school computer lab came in clutch this morning ( and Starbucks helped a little ).

Alright, I’ll shut up and get down to biz.

I spent my weekend jammin’ out at the Austin City Limits Festival. Eating, drinking, listening to some coooool tunes. Not too shabby. Here’s the low-down on ACL, through my eyes:

Pros:

∇ The Food: GoodPop Hibiscus Mint Popsicles are everything

∇ The Drank: There are five million bar areas ( + Juice places !! )

∇ Eminem, Lana, Jhené Aiko, Iggy, Calvin Harris, Zedd, etc. Are you serious with this lineup ( btw: Jhené Aiko is my new obsession… she is the most legit flower-child I’ve ever seen & her body is rockin’. Total Babe.)

Cons:

∇ Tweens. Everywhere.

∇ Ohhh my god, I hate crowds.

∇ Being 20 million miles away from all the performers (see above con)

∇ Probably coming very close to contracting Ebola… like, germ-city.

Redken Color Rebel + ACL The best part of Austin City Limits this year?? Picking out what to wear + my Redken Color Rebel Hair dye ( temporary, of course! ). This stuff is real-deal, easy AF, temporary hair color. I chose this bad-A hot pink for my ends at the festival. Obviously, it screams music festival ( keeping in mind for Coachella. k duh… )

I chose to join the campaign for this wonderful product because 1) I lurve Redken just in general and 2) I lurve changing my hair up with some cool color every so often, but I’m not daring enough to make it a permanent thing.

Redken Color Rebel + ACL

Redken Color Rebel + ACL Here’s the deal with Redken Color Rebel:

• The sponge-tip applicator makes it super easy to glide on to hair
• I had the best experience with coloring my hair when it was clean & dry, and then sealing the color by brushing through my hair & applying a little heat ( with my curling iron … But you could also just hit it with a blow dryer ).
• The color stays true for about two washes, then it’s done-zo.
• Redken makes a bazillion different colors of this stuff ( I have red and pink ), but I liked the pink best this weekend.

Disclaimer: I am a part of the Redken Color Rebel Campaign because I love their products first and foremost. I do receive benefits (like samples) for being a part of their campaign, but that doesn’t sway my opinion on the product! I joined their campaign because I love the product (not the other way around)!

Balancing Act :: Floral, Fur & Studs

TGIF, My Fellow Freak-shows.

First things first: I have a very exciting announcement that I’m sharing with just about anyone who will listen.

I decided a couple of months ago that I was going to do a little life-switch-a-roo, and apply for some internships in Los Angeles. Ya know, keep myself on my toes. Being a Political Science Major, I didn’t think that I would find a company that would take me seriously, because I wanted to pursue an internship fashion/fashion PR, not Poli Sci. Welp, I was wrong. I interviewed with one of my favorite companies :: For Love and Lemons :: and got a job working as a PR intern! If you haven’t checked out this beyond amazing company…1) wtf? and 2) go. now. do it.

So, I’ll be moving out to the city of angels come January, and I COULD NOT BE MORE EXCITED. Basically, an opportunity like this is the reason I started ROAWO.. and all my work has definitely been worth it. For those of you who live in LA now: do y’all have any tips as far as living location, things I gotta do, etc? Comment/Contact me with your sage advice!

Now, onto the previously scheduled post::

Floral Maxi :: ROAWO Floral Maxi :: ROAWO

Floral Maxi :: ROAWO Floral Maxi :: ROAWO Floral Maxi :: ROAWO Floral Maxi :: ROAWO Floral Maxi :: ROAWO Dress: ANGL Clothing // Body Chain: HauteLook, Similar here // Cross-Body: Massimo Leather in Florence, Italy, Similar Here // Watch: Michael Kors // Sunglasses: Ray-Ban // Shoes: Gucci, Similar Here

Alright, I have something to admit. I’ve worn this dress at least 3920348302 times. Okay, well actually two times, but I get all weird when it comes to outfit-repeating. But, how could I help it??? Esp for summer, this dress is one of my favorites. It’s comfortable, airy, and well-fitting.

It is also sticky-bra/nip cover-friendly, which I like, because I hate underwire, real-people bras with a passion. I’m sorry, I’m not going to wear one of those contraptions unless I have to.

The best part? This maxi is under $40!

When it comes to my outfits, I diiiiee for texture mixing. I like the fur with the floral, to make the whole thing more animalistic & boho, and then the studs on the sandals add a little something different. My personal style is all about balancing a variety of contrasting styles that end up coming together as a finished product. I’m not refined & polished, boheme & free spirited, or a bad-ass leather/studded shoes fanatic… I take elements of all of those ‘types’ to make a little something of my own. Ya Dig?

P.S. Will any of y’all be at Austin City Limits this weekend? I’m going so get excited for a little wrap-up post of the festival, along with a post about some new Redken products I’ve received recently. Two words: colored. hair. How perfect that they came just in time for ACL?

THE OUTNET.COM :: Best Shoes for the Transition from Summer to Fall

shoes the outnet Happpy Tuesday, gal pals.

I thought I’d celebrate the end of Monday ( whoop, whoop, one day closer to the weekend! ) with another post featuring more of my must-haves from The Outnet.

In case you haven’t been following ROAWO + my ongoing obsession with The Outnet ( ummm, why not? ), you can find the Best of Pants, Shorts, & Skirts here, the Best of Handbags here, & the Best of Dresses & Jumpers here.

As we transition from Summer to Fall, the shoe game changes big time. We start shifting towards boots, darker colors, & an overall heavier look. As much as I LOVE Summer ( really, it’s my favorite season ), I can’t get over how badass Fall & Winter shoes are. I die for anything studded & leather.

On that note, here are some of my top transitional shoes from Summer to Fall/Winter. I start off with some heavier sandals & end with a couple pairs of bad-bitch boots for your inner-Kardashian ::

The Outnet Shoes

1. Schutz // 2. Jean Michel Cazabat // 3. 12th Street by Cynthia Vincent // 4. DVF ( Only 1 pair left! ) // 5. Robert Clergerie // 6. Jimmy Choo ( << I die & Only 1 pair left! ) // 7. Schutz // 8. Schutz // 9. Pour la Victoire

Like I’ve said a trillion-billion times before, The Outnet sells-out fast because, well, look at those freakin’ prices… And how to-die-for are numbers 6, 7 & 9 ?? Those are my tippity-top picks for the week!

Which shoes are your favorite ??

A Few of my Favorite Things

Cute Little Dress :: ROAWO I am so excited for this week’s edition of Favorite Things because, as you’ll learn, this shiz is the shiz [ like this dress ]. Here’s the list for the week:

Tiny Tea-tox :: ROAWO Tiny TeaTox :: ROAWO 1. Tiny Tea Teatox ( Gluten-Free Version ) :: This detox-tea was surprisingly so delish & its such a little detox/cleanse to do. I am in the middle of my detox right now, and I already feel so much better & more “at one” with my body.

YourTea has several types of herbal teas aimed at overall wellness. I chose the TinyTea because it focuses on weight-loss and resetting your digestive system. They believe that digestion is the center of your overall health, and that by allowing that system to run smoothly, you’ll have more energy, healthier / brighter skin, less cellulite, etc. So, I said sign me up! All I do is have a cup of this little miracle tea twice a day after or before a meal ( for 14 days ). Too damn easy.

BTW: My roommate & talented artist, Abbey, painted the mug… so amaze.

Succulent Garden :: ROAWO Succulents + Mexican Blanket :: ROAWO 2. Succulents ( & This Cute Little Blanket / Rug ) :: Aren’t these little plants so freakin’ cute? You can get them for super cheap at Ikea, but I got mine in the botanical section of my local grocery store.

I have been extremely obsessed with flower / plants / candles lately ( which is why I signed up for flowers to be delivered to my door every other week, thanks to The Bouqs ). Seriously, My house is becoming a freaking garden / zen candle-lit space. It gives the place good vibes.

PS: you can find a similar Mexican Woven Table Runner here.

Frends Headphones :: ROAWO 3. My Frends Headphones :: These Layla Headphones by Frends are my life. These are the smaller-sized rose gold headphones & they are perfect for everyday [ at the gym, in the library, etc. ]. Frends carries a variety of headphones that are seriously SO FUN. They took regular, boring headphones and made them an accessory.

Head on over to Frends to browse their collection.

Pretty School Supplies :: ROAWO 4. Pretty, Organized School / Work Supplies :: I’m a sucker for anything having to do with organization. Its probably my horrible case of self-diagnosed OCD, but everything I have has to match or be organized away from my eyes in nice, matching, clean containers / folders / etc. I love writing in Moleskine Notebooks when I have to take notes. I know they aren’t your standard spiral-notebook, uhhhh ‘cuz they’re cooler & way prettier. Also, I label everything with simple little stick-on labels.

I’m looking for a fun little planner / agenda for the semester, but I can’t find any that I just have to have. Have any suggestions? I need your help!

PS: Laptop Skin can be found here.

Black Tied Jewelry Co. Necklace :: ROAWO Black Tied Jewelry Co. :: ROAWO 5. Black Tied Jewelry :: I have recently become one of the many bloggers to partner with Black Tied & I’m loving this online store! They have a ton of trendy jewelry for ridiculously cheap. I’m in lurve.

The above bracelets can be found here, here, here, & here, and the above necklace can be found here ( got mine at a custom length, thanks again Black Tied !! ).

More to come with this brand fo sho :: like stay tuned for a sweeeet promo code, perhaps.

AND I may or may not be putting together a little giveaway with Meghan of Boho Nouveau which could include some Black Tied pieces ( + more goodies ! ) ….

Homemade Green Juice :: ROAWO Homemade Green Juice :: ROAWO  6. Homemade Green Juice :: As a self-proclaimed ‘Juice Enthusiast’ since infancy, I drink green juices as much as possible. They’re delish, fun, & most importantly :: detoxifying.

This week, I made a huge batch of green juice to drink for a few days. I put ( organic & fresh from the farmer’s market ) spinach, kale, cucumber, cilantro, peaches, & pineapples into my juicer to get the base of this week’s juice.

BTW: juicing things is extremely addictive. I found myself intensely searching my kitchen for things to juice like a psycho. There, I said it. I am a juicing psycho. The second I started to consider putting a potato in the juicer, I realized I had a problem.

After I had my base, I added in some coconut water, vanilla protein powder, & a touch of cayenne to give it a little kick. I really like savory elements in my fresh juices. It makes things a little more interesting.

Fried egg on Veggies :: ROAWO 7. Sautéed Veggies + An Egg :: So, I used to freaking hate vegetables. Like, I had an extreme hatred towards them & I refused to eat them. Then, I learned how to season them, and BAM. I love them. A big bowl of greens is seriously the cleanest & most detoxifying hangover cure EVER. Packed with vitamins & minerals, I feel like a new person after eating these babes.

I sauté Broccoli, Zucchini, Brussels Sprouts, & Asparagus tips together in olive oil over medium heat. Then, I add Sea Salt, Black Pepper, Garlic Salt, Cilantro, & Lime Juice. THEN, I go even further and add a “fried” egg on top for some protein.

PS: I used to be an egg white girl, until reading this post on The Skinny Confidential. Now, I eat about an egg a day with the yolk included. Read for yourself!

So, there ya go. A Few of my Favorite things for y’all to try. Do you luuuurve any of my fav things this week? Plz Share!!

Don’t forget to follow ROAWO on Instagram, Facebook, & Twitter for all the updates on upcoming giveaways, collabs, & more!
